On Accidental
Purpose
Issue 37
Dizzy Cordova
returns to her Chicago neighbourhood for the first time since hooking up
with Graves. In New York, Graves and Shepherd meet in a bar on Broadway.
Graves is annoyed that Dizzy is not there. He's also annoyed that she has
gone home. He questions Shepherd's feelings for Dizzy. The two men discuss
her and her future, the hit on Daniel Peres and Augustus. Graves
wants Augustus to succeed. The hit on Peres helped the Medici family. To
achieve the peace, Shepherd wants something done about Javier Vasco. Graves
offers a trade. He wants Lono to pay for Milo's death. The deal is done. As they part company, Graves reassures Shepherd of his plans
for the Point Man, suggesting Shepherd turns his attention to "the
boy." Shepherd suggests
that his two assignments, Lono and Loop, should be dealt with with one
stone. They discuss Dizzy one last time, why Shepherd hasn't finished the
job with her, and whether or nor she is ready for what is coming. In
Chicago, having met her friends again and found her mother has left with
no forwarding address, Dizzy discovers that you really can never go home
again. Comments
