The Trust
Nearing the end, we finally know a little more about theTrust, but there are still secrets to be revealed. We know the Trust is "very old, very powerful, very dirty" and has existed since "next to forever." Four hundred years ago the Trust pulled "the biggest crime in the history of mankind" on which their power is based. The Minutemen did this for them. Within the last few years, the Trust asked the Minutemen to repeat this crime. Graves did not obey, but executed his own strategy, leading the Trust to try and dispose of the Minutemen. The Trust was made up of thirteen families. The most powerful is the House of Medici, led by Augustus Medici. Medici is planning to consolidate his power, unite the Trust and "build a better future". Augustus has a grand plan, but it has yet to be revealed. Other members of the Trust are not happy with this situation. Of the other twelve families, we know of the following: Dietrich, Peres, Simone, Vasco, Madrid, Nagel, Carlito, D'Arcy, Vermeer, Rhone and Kotias. Thanks to Graves and Cole Burns, Daniel Peres is dead. Wylie Times removed the House of Madrid by killing both Anwar Madrid and his daughter Rose, Wylie's own lover. The heads of the Vasco, Carlito and Kotias families offered an alliance with Graves against Medici, promising to restore the Minutemen to their rightful place when Augustus has been disposed of. A failed attempt on Augustus and Benito's lives marked the end for the House of Carlito, who were exterminated by Lono. Augustus has now been asked to forgive the Houses of Vasco and Kotias for their part in the plot. The House of Nagel were eliminated by a combination of actions. Vasco engineered the death of Axel, whilst Medici and Lono secretly arranged for Axel's heirs, Lars and Anna, to end their own lives. Remi Rome killed Mia Simone, and with Victor, destroyed the Rhone family. Kotias and Constance were next, followed by a botched hit on D'Arcy. Remi moved against D'Arcy again, but the second failure cost him dearly. Deitrich, D'Arcy and Vermeer had Vasco murdered to end the civil war, and now only four houses remain. With only a few issues remaining, everything there is to know about the Trust should be tied up soon. Issue 50 gave us a look at The Origins of the Trust. |
