Remi was a butcher at the Heinz Meats company, his brother Ronnie, a mob enforcer. Graves presented Ronnie with an attaché containing Remi's picture, but  gave Remi 'the word', unleashing his full, murderous potential. Having botched a hit on Jean D'Arcy, Remi set about his task again, but carelessness, caused by the news of his mother's heart attack, cost Remi his hands. Unable to face the future as an invalid, Remi took his own life.
