Jack was once a Minuteman, but his life became ruled by heroin. Jack was given an attaché by Graves which contained a picture of himself.  He carried on with his life of crime and addiction, but following an episode  a zoo full of wild animals being hunted by the mafia, Jack kicked the habit and began bare-knuckle boxing in Atlantic City where Lono triggered Jack's activation, in spite of Graves' belief that Jack is far from ready. He now rides with Lono and Loop, acting for Augustus without the Trust's knowledge.
