The Attaché

For many years, Agent Graves has been indulging in, and indulged in, his 'game'. The Trust have allowed Graves to give an attaché case containing irrefutable evidence of a crime or misdeed, coupled with a gun and one hundred rounds of untraceable ammunition. The recipient has usually suffered a grave injustice which has damaged or destroyed their life. Normally they are not fully aware of the circumstances surrounding their downfall, or who the guilty party, or parties, are. Graves offers a chance to redress the balance, to tip the scales of justice in the opposite direction. The evidence is all there, the gun and the ammo are the tools required, but how they are used is up to the individual. Any investigation into an action by the case holder will cease immediately the bullets have been recovered. This fact has been tested in many ways, by many people. However, once retribution has been attained, the gun and the bullets become like any other, very traceable indeed. We have seen fifteen instances where an attaché case has been given. Sometimes it has been declined, but once it has been accepted, it can never be given back. In issue 91, Abe Rothstein, the man who facilitated Graves with his cases, was executed by Will Slaughter, on the orders of Joan D'Arcy, cutting Graves off from his 'game'. The repercussions of this act await the response of the key players.
